Aspirin can be continued if it is prescribed. Avoid ibuprofen (e.g., Advil, Motrin) and alcohol for 2 days. If possible, come to your appointment with a cleanly washed face without makeup. Avoid facial or massage sessions until a week after your treatment, this can move the product and increase swelling. Book your filler treatment at least 2-3 weeks before that special event.

Book your Botox at least 2-3 weeks before that special event. If you are on antibiotics for any reason, schedule your treatment 1 week after you completed them and are infection free.
Swelling, redness, firmness, itching, and tenderness may be present for up to 2 weeks. Use of cool packs may be used as needed. Sleep with your head elevated to reduce the amount of swelling. Do not massage or put pressure on the treated area, unless instructed by injector. Wait 4 to 6 hours to apply cosmetics (including lip gloss and lipstick), moisturizer, or any lotions to the area. Avoid direct sunlight or extreme cold weather until initial swelling and/or redness has subsided. Do not do heavy aerobic exercise or anything to raise your core body temperature or blood pressure for 24 hours. The results will be immediate, but its best effects are noted after swelling has resolved; this can take two weeks. Motrin or Advil (Ibuprofen), or Tylenol (Acetaminophen) may be used as directed on the bottle for any discomfort after injection. • Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may be used as directed per directions on bottle for itching. Benadryl can make you sleepy. Do not drive or perform any activities as directed. Avoid eating raw foods, such as meat or seafood (sushi/ceviche), following injections for at least 6 hours to decrease risk of infection (applies to injection of lips)
Visible bumps may be seen at the injection sites. These are normal and may last up to a few hours. Botox/Dysport will start to work in 2 to 7 days and peak in about 2 weeks. Please note, if additional product is needed, it will not be injected until 14 days after your initial injection. Results last 3 to 4 months on average. Do not lie down for 4 hours post injection (no bending over during this time). Do not massage the treated areas on the day of treatment. Do not do strenuous exercise or any other activity that may elevate your core body temperature for 24 to 48 hours following your injection. Do not get a massage, do microdermabrasion, or any other activity that may manipulate the muscles of the face for 48 hours. If forehead was treated, do not wear hats or headbands for 48 hours.
The use of Arnica Montana (available at health food stores) may help with bruising. It is available topically as well as orally. Follow directions on the bottle item. You should start seeing result in about 2 - 4 days.
Yes, Lumps, bumps, or a regular, asymmetrical areas may be noted especially when swelling has subsided. It is normal to feel these lumps and bumps; however, they should not be visible. The lumps or bumps may be present for up to 2 weeks.
